Our analysis found Johns Hopkins University to be the most popular school for students who want to pursue a graduate certificate in Maryland. Johns Hopkins is located in Baltimore, Maryland and has a large student population. In 2020-2021, this school awarded 953 graduate certificates to qualified students.
On average, graduate certificate students take out $19,227 in loans while pursuing their degree. Around 71% of those degree recipients were women.

You’ll be in good company if you attend University of Maryland - Baltimore County. The school came in at #5 on this year’s Most Popular Graduate Certificate Schools in Maryland list. Located in Baltimore, Maryland, the fairly large public school handed out 221 graduate certificate awards in 2020-2021.

Towson University did quite well in this year’s ranking of the most popular places for students to get a graduate certificate. It came in at #6 on the list. This large public school is located in Towson, Maryland, and it awarded 217 graduate certificates in 2020-2021.

Sans Technology Institute did quite well in this year’s ranking of the most popular places for students to get a graduate certificate. It came in at #8 on the list. Sans Technology Institute is a very small private for-profit school situated in Bethesda, Maryland. It awarded 140 graduate certificates in 2020-2021.
Of those students who received their degree, 5% were women.
Since the graduate programs at Sans Technology Institute are online, the school is an excellent choice for graduate students who need more flexibility than what is offered at some other schools.
Hood College came in at #9 in this year’s edition of the Most Popular Graduate Certificate Schools in Maryland ranking. Located in Frederick, Maryland, the small private not-for-profit school awarded 90 diplomas to qualifed graduate certificate students in 2020-2021.

Maryland University of Integrative Health ranked #11 on this year’s Most Popular Graduate Certificate Schools in Maryland list. MUIH is a very small private not-for-profit school situated in Laurel, Maryland. It awarded 68 graduate certificates in 2020-2021.
