To help you arm yourself with the information you need to make your decision, Grad Degree Search has developed this Best Value Sociology Master's Degree Schools in the New England Region ranking. This report analyzed 11 schools in the New England Region to see which ones offered the best value master's degree programs for sociology students. The goal was to highlight schools with more affordable prices than others offering similar quality experiences.

When determining this ranking, we place a high emphasis on the school's quality as well as its sticker price. Even though a college may be affordable, it may not offer value. More specifically, we discount our quality score by the published tuition and fees charged by a school. This gives the cost per unit of quality for each college. The value is determined by how much quality your dollar buys.

Our calculations use out-of-state tuition and fees in our nationwide and regional rankings. Average in-state tuition and fees are used for our statewide rankings.

Our analysis found Yale University to be the best value school for sociology students who want to pursue a master’s degree in the New England Region . Located in the city of New Haven, Yale is a private not-for-profit college with a large student population.

The average tuition and fees for an out-of-state graduate students at Yale are $45,700 a year.

In addition to its best value ranking, and one of the reasons why the school is on the list, Yale is ranked #4 for overall quality for sociology in the New England Region .

A rank of #2 on this year’s list means Boston College is a great value for sociology students working on their master’s degree. Boston College is a large private not-for-profit school located in the small city of Chestnut Hill.

The school came in at #4 on this year’s Best Value Sociology Master’s Degree Schools in the New England Region list. Northeastern is a fairly large private not-for-profit school located in the city of Boston.
