To create this ranking we looked at how many students graduated from each school on the list.

Our analysis found Southern New Hampshire University to be the most popular school for students who want to pursue a master’s degree in New Hampshire. Located in Manchester, New Hampshire, the large private not-for-profit school handed out 7,381 master’s degree awards in 2020-2021.
Of those students who received their degree, 65% were women.
You may have the opportunity to take online graduate classes at SNHU. To give an idea of how popular online courses are at the school, 95% of graduates took at least one course online in 2019-2020.
A rank of #2 on this year’s list means University of New Hampshire - Main Campus is a great place for students working on their master’s degree. UNH is located in Durham, New Hampshire and has a fairly large student population. In 2020-2021, this school awarded 766 master’s degrees to qualified students.
Of those students who received their degree, 63% were women.
UNH does offer online graduate classes for certain degree levels. During the 2019-2020 year, about 60% of the graduate students at the school took at least one online course.
You’ll be in good company if you attend New England College. The school came in at #3 on this year’s Most Popular Master’s Degree Schools in New Hampshire list. NEC is located in Henniker, New Hampshire and has a small student population. In 2020-2021, this school awarded 691 master’s degrees to qualified students.
Of those students who received their degree, 33% were women.
NEC does offer online graduate classes for certain degree levels. In fact, around 100% of the graduate population registered for at least one online class in 2019-2020.
A rank of #4 on this year’s list means Dartmouth College is a great place for students working on their master’s degree. Located in Hanover, New Hampshire, the medium-sized private not-for-profit school handed out 662 master’s degree awards in 2020-2021.
Around 43% of those degree recipients were women.

A rank of #5 on this year’s list means Plymouth State University is a great place for students working on their master’s degree. Plymouth State is located in Plymouth, New Hampshire and has a small student population. In 2020-2021, this school awarded 227 master’s degrees to qualified students.

Rivier University landed the #6 spot in the 2023 rankings for the most popular master’s degree programs. Rivier is a private not-for-profit institution located in Nashua, New Hampshire. The school has a small population, and it awarded 206 master’s degrees in 2020-2021.

Rivier does offer online graduate classes for certain degree levels. During the 2019-2020 year, about 75% of the graduate students at the school took at least one online course.
Antioch University - New England came in at #7 in this year’s edition of the Most Popular Master’s Degree Schools in New Hampshire ranking. Located in Keene, New Hampshire, the small private not-for-profit school awarded 196 diplomas to qualifed master’s degree students in 2020-2021.

Franklin Pierce University did quite well in this year’s ranking of the most popular places for students to get a master’s degree. It came in at #8 on the list. Franklin Pierce is located in Rindge, New Hampshire and has a small student population. In 2020-2021, this school awarded 100 master’s degrees to qualified students.

Depending on your major, you may be able to take online graduate classes at Franklin Pierce. In fact, around 37% of the graduate population registered for at least one online class in 2019-2020.
Granite State College ranked #9 on this year’s Most Popular Master’s Degree Schools in New Hampshire list. GSC is a small public school situated in Concord, New Hampshire. It awarded 53 master’s degrees in 2020-2021.

Keene State College landed the #10 spot in the 2023 rankings for the most popular master’s degree programs. Keene State is a public institution located in Keene, New Hampshire. The school has a small population, and it awarded 32 master’s degrees in 2020-2021.

University of New Hampshire - Franklin Pierce School of Law ranked #11 on this year’s Most Popular Master’s Degree Schools in New Hampshire list. UNH Franklin Pierce is a public institution located in Concord, New Hampshire. The school has a very small population, and it awarded 17 master’s degrees in 2020-2021.
Around 18% of those degree recipients were women.
Online graduate courses are available at UNH Franklin Pierce, but you will need to check with the school to see if they are available for your field of interest. In fact, around 6% of the graduate population registered for at least one online class in 2019-2020.
Colby - Sawyer College came in at #12 in this year’s edition of the Most Popular Master’s Degree Schools in New Hampshire ranking.
Since the graduate programs at Colby - Sawyer are primarily online school, so it is a great choice for returning adults and students who work full time.
