The excellent master’s degree programs at Case Western Reserve University helped the school earn the #2 place on this year’s ranking of the best schools in Ohio.
You may have the opportunity to take online graduate classes at Case Western. Of all the graduate students enrolled at the school during the 2019-2020 academic year, around 17% took at least some of their classes online.
A rank of #3 on this year’s list means The University of Findlay is a great place for students working on their master’s degree.

The excellent master’s degree programs at Ohio State University - Main Campus helped the school earn the #5 place on this year’s ranking of the best schools in Ohio.
If you are interested in distance education, be sure to check with the school since Ohio State does offer online graduate classes for certain majors. Of all the graduate students enrolled at the school during the 2019-2020 academic year, around 76% took at least some of their classes online.
With a ranking of #6, University of Mount Union did quite well on this year’s best schools for students working on their master’s degree.

Baldwin Wallace University came in at #7 in this year’s edition of the Best Master’s Degree Schools in Ohio ranking.
Online graduate courses are available at Baldwin Wallace College, but you will need to check with the school to see if they are available for your field of interest. In 2019-2020 about 40% of the graduate students at the school chose to take one or more online courses.
Xavier University landed the #8 spot in the 2023 rankings for the best master’s degree programs.
Xavier does have options available for those who want to take online graduate classes. You will need to check with the school to see if they are available for your specific major. During the 2019-2020 year, about 46% of the graduate students at the school took at least one online course.
Otterbein University landed the #9 spot in the 2023 rankings for the best master’s degree programs.
Otterbein does offer online graduate classes for certain degree levels. In 2019-2020 about 55% of the graduate students at the school chose to take one or more online courses.
John Carroll University ranked #10 on this year’s Best Master’s Degree Schools in Ohio list.
Since the graduate programs at John Carroll are primarily online school, so it is a great choice for returning adults and students who work full time.
Miami University - Oxford did quite well in this year’s ranking of the best places for students to get a master’s degree. It came in at #11 on the list.

To give an idea of how popular online courses are at the school, 36% of graduates took at least one course online in 2019-2020.
Ohio Christian University came in at #12 in this year’s edition of the Best Master’s Degree Schools in Ohio ranking.

Ashland University did quite well in this year’s ranking of the best places for students to get a master’s degree. It came in at #14 on the list.

Wittenberg University came in at #16 in this year’s edition of the Best Master’s Degree Schools in Ohio ranking.
One thing to take note of is that Wittenberg does offer online graduate classes in some areas. In 2019-2020 about 21% of the graduate students at the school chose to take one or more online courses.
Cedarville University came in at #17 in this year’s edition of the Best Master’s Degree Schools in Ohio ranking.
Cedarville does have options available for those who want to take online graduate classes. You will need to check with the school to see if they are available for your specific major. During the 2019-2020 year, about 52% of the graduate students at the school took at least one online course.
University of Cincinnati - Main Campus landed the #18 spot in the 2023 rankings for the best master’s degree programs.
UC does have options available for those who want to take online graduate classes. You will need to check with the school to see if they are available for your specific major. In fact, around 82% of the graduate population registered for at least one online class in 2019-2020.
Ohio University - Athens Campus landed the #19 spot in the 2023 rankings for the best master’s degree programs.
One thing to take note of is that OHIO Athens does offer online graduate classes in some areas. To give an idea of how popular online courses are at the school, 70% of graduates took at least one course online in 2019-2020.
Capital University landed the #20 spot in the 2023 rankings for the best master’s degree programs.
Capital does have options available for those who want to take online graduate classes. You will need to check with the school to see if they are available for your specific major. In fact, around 19% of the graduate population registered for at least one online class in 2019-2020.
With a ranking of #21, Bluffton University did quite well on this year’s best schools for students working on their master’s degree.
You may have the opportunity to take online graduate classes at Bluffton. Of all the graduate students enrolled at the school during the 2019-2020 academic year, around 66% took at least some of their classes online.
Bowling Green State University - Main Campus came in at #22 in this year’s edition of the Best Master’s Degree Schools in Ohio ranking.
One thing to take note of is that BGSU does offer online graduate classes in some areas. In 2019-2020 about 54% of the graduate students at the school chose to take one or more online courses.
