Our 2023 rankings named University of Miami the most popular school in the Southeast Region for music students working on their master’s degree. U Miami is a large private not-for-profit school located in the small city of Coral Gables.
Of the 55 students majoring in music at U Miami, 62% are male and 38% are female.
Out of the 76 schools in the Southeast Region that were part of this year’s ranking, Florida State University landed the # 2 spot on the list. Florida State is a very large public school located in the medium-sized city of Tallahassee.
Of the 51 students majoring in music at Florida State, 57% are male and 43% are female.

The in-demand master’s degree programs at Georgia State University helped the school earn the #5 place on this year’s ranking of the most popular music schools in the Southeast Region . Located in the large city of Atlanta, Georgia State is a public college with a fairly large student population.

University of Southern Mississippi landed the #6 spot in the 2023 rankings for the most popular master’s degree music programs. Southern Miss is a large public school located in the city of Hattiesburg.
