Out of the 52 schools in the Far Western US Region that were part of this year’s ranking, San Jose State University landed the # 2 spot on the list. Located in the large city of San Jose, San Jose State is a public school with a very large student population.

Of the 910 students majoring in engineering at San Jose State, 62% are male and 38% are female.
