Our analysis found George Mason University to be the most popular school for economics students who want to pursue a doctor’s degree in the Southeast Region . GMU is a very large public school located in the suburb of Fairfax.

Of the 18 students majoring in economics at GMU, 72% are male and 28% are female.

Durham, NC

The in-demand doctor’s degree programs at Duke University helped the school earn the #3 place on this year’s ranking of the most popular economics schools in the Southeast Region . Located in the city of Durham, Duke is a private not-for-profit college with a fairly large student population.

About 29% of the students majoring in economics at the school are women while 71% are male.
