To create this ranking we looked at how many students graduated from the Chemistry program at each school on the list.

The colleges and universities below are the most popular for chemistry majors pursuing a master's degree.

Our 2023 rankings named The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley the most popular school in the Southwest Region for chemistry students working on their master’s degree. UT Rio Grande Valley is a fairly large public school located in the midsize city of Edinburg.

A rank of #2 on this year’s list means University of Oklahoma Norman Campus is a great place for chemistry students working on their master’s degree. Located in the midsize suburb of Norman, University of Oklahoma is a public school with a very large student population.

Of the 15 students majoring in chemistry at University of Oklahoma, 60% are male and 40% are female.
