Out of the 36 schools in the Southwest Region that were part of this year’s ranking, The University of Texas at El Paso landed the # 2 spot on the list. Located in the city of El Paso, UTEP is a public college with a very large student population.

About 31% of the students majoring in math at the school are women while 69% are male.

A rank of #4 on this year’s list means University of Houston is a great place for mathematics students working on their master’s degree. UH is a very large public school located in the large city of Houston.

Of the 12 students majoring in math at UH, 67% are male and 33% are female.
