To create this ranking we looked at how many students graduated from the Mathematics program at each school on the list.

Our analysis found University of Connecticut to be the most popular school for mathematics students who want to pursue a master’s degree in the New England Region . UCONN is a very large public school located in the large suburb of Storrs.

Out of the 26 schools in the New England Region that were part of this year’s ranking, University of Massachusetts - Lowell landed the # 2 spot on the list. UMass Lowell is a large public school located in the large suburb of Lowell.

About 25% of the students majoring in math at the school are women while 75% are male.

You’ll be in good company if you decide to attend University of Massachusetts Amherst. It ranked #2 on our 2023 Most Popular Mathematics Master’s Degree Schools in the New England Region list. UMass Amherst is a very large public school located in the suburb of Amherst.

About 38% of the students majoring in math at the school are women while 63% are male.

Tufts University landed the #7 spot in the 2023 rankings for the most popular master’s degree mathematics programs. Located in the suburb of Medford, Tufts is a private not-for-profit college with a fairly large student population.

Of the 12 students majoring in math at Tufts, 83% are male and 17% are female.

Worcester Polytechnic Institute landed the #8 spot in the 2023 rankings for the most popular master’s degree mathematics programs. Located in the medium-sized city of Worcester, WPI is a private not-for-profit college with a medium-sized student population.
