This report analyzed 25 schools in the Great Lakes Region to see which ones were the most popular doctor's degree programs for students. To create this ranking we looked at how many students graduated from the Mathematics program at each school on the list.

Our analysis found Purdue University - Main Campus to be the most popular school for mathematics students who want to pursue a doctor’s degree in the Great Lakes Region . Purdue is a very large public school located in the small city of West Lafayette.

Of the 23 students majoring in math at Purdue, 83% are male and 17% are female.

A rank of #2 on this year’s list means University of Wisconsin - Madison is a great place for mathematics students working on their doctor’s degree. UW - Madison is a fairly large public school located in the city of Madison.

Women make up 19% of the math majors at the school.

Out of the 25 schools in the Great Lakes Region that were part of this year’s ranking, University of Chicago landed the # 3 spot on the list. Located in the city of Chicago, UChicago is a private not-for-profit school with a fairly large student population.

Of the 19 students majoring in math at UChicago, 84% are male and 16% are female.
