With a ranking of #11, Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute did quite well on this year’s best schools for mathematics students. RPI is a moderately-sized private not-for-profit school located in the small city of Troy.
Carnegie Mellon University ranked #12 on this year’s Best Mathematics Schools list. Carnegie Mellon is a fairly large private not-for-profit school located in the large city of Pittsburgh.
