Our 2023 rankings named Stony Brook University the most popular school in the Middle Atlantic Region for applied mathematics students working on their doctor’s degree. Located in the large suburb of Stony Brook, SUNY Stony Brook is a public school with a fairly large student population.

Of the 22 students majoring in applied math at SUNY Stony Brook, 73% are male and 27% are female.

The in-demand doctor’s degree programs at University of Pennsylvania helped the school earn the #2 place on this year’s ranking of the most popular applied mathematics schools in the Middle Atlantic Region . Located in the large city of Philadelphia, UPenn is a private not-for-profit college with a fairly large student population.
