To create this ranking we looked at how many students graduated from the Library & Information Science program at each school on the list.

Our analysis found San Jose State University to be the most popular school for library and information science students who want to pursue a master’s degree in the United States. Located in the city of San Jose, San Jose State is a public school with a very large student population.

A rank of #2 on this year’s list means University of North Texas is a great place for library and information science students working on their master’s degree. UNT is a fairly large public school located in the midsize city of Denton.

Of the 252 students majoring in library science at UNT, 19% are male and 81% are female.

A rank of #2 on this year’s list means Simmons University is a great place for library and information science students working on their master’s degree. Simmons is a moderately-sized private not-for-profit school located in the large city of Boston.

About 84% of the students majoring in library science at the school are women while 16% are male.

The in-demand master’s degree programs at Texas Woman’s University helped the school earn the #4 place on this year’s ranking of the most popular library and information science schools in the United States. TWU is a large public school located in the city of Denton.

Of the 238 students majoring in library science at TWU, 5% are male and 95% are female.
