Our 2023 rankings named Boston University the most popular school in the New England Region for legal research students working on their master’s degree. Located in the large city of Boston, Boston U is a private not-for-profit school with a fairly large student population.

Of the 118 students majoring in legal research at Boston U, 50% are male and 50% are female.

Cambridge, MA

Out of the 12 schools in the New England Region that were part of this year’s ranking, Harvard University landed the # 2 spot on the list. Located in the midsize city of Cambridge, Harvard is a private not-for-profit college with a fairly large student population.

Of the 59 students majoring in legal research at Harvard, 47% are male and 53% are female.

The in-demand master’s degree programs at University of Connecticut helped the school earn the #3 place on this year’s ranking of the most popular legal research schools in the New England Region . Located in the suburb of Storrs, UCONN is a public college with a very large student population.

The in-demand master’s degree programs at Vermont Law School helped the school earn the #5 place on this year’s ranking of the most popular legal research schools in the New England Region . Located in the remote area of South Royalton, VLS is a private not-for-profit school with a small student population.

University of New Hampshire - Franklin Pierce School of Law came in at #6 in this year’s edition of the Most Popular Legal Research Master’s Degree Schools in the New England Region ranking. Located in the town of Concord, UNH Franklin Pierce is a public college with a small student population.

Of the 17 students majoring in legal research at UNH Franklin Pierce, 82% are male and 18% are female.

With a ranking of #7, Tufts University did quite well on this year’s most popular schools for legal research students working on their master’s degree. Tufts is a large private not-for-profit school located in the suburb of Medford.

Yale University did quite well in this year’s ranking of the most popular places for legal research students to get a master’s degree. It came in at #9 on the list. Located in the medium-sized city of New Haven, Yale is a private not-for-profit college with a large student population.

About 57% of the students majoring in legal research at the school are women while 43% are male.
