This report analyzed 15 schools in the Plains States Region to see which ones were the most popular doctor's degree programs for students. To create this ranking we looked at how many students graduated from the Law program at each school on the list.

The colleges and universities below are the most popular for law majors pursuing a doctor's degree.

Our analysis found Mitchell Hamline School of Law to be the most popular school for law students who want to pursue a doctor’s degree in the Plains States Region . Located in the city of Saint Paul, Mitchell Hamline is a private not-for-profit school with a small student population.

Women make up 55% of the law majors at the school.

Out of the 15 schools in the Plains States Region that were part of this year’s ranking, Washington University in St Louis landed the # 2 spot on the list. WUSTL is a large private not-for-profit school located in the suburb of Saint Louis.

Of the 243 students majoring in law at WUSTL, 53% are male and 47% are female.

The in-demand doctor’s degree programs at University of Minnesota - Twin Cities helped the school earn the #3 place on this year’s ranking of the most popular law schools in the Plains States Region . UMN Twin Cities is a very large public school located in the city of Minneapolis.

About 52% of the students majoring in law at the school are women while 48% are male.

Saint Louis, MO

The in-demand doctor’s degree programs at Saint Louis University helped the school earn the #4 place on this year’s ranking of the most popular law schools in the Plains States Region . SLU is a large private not-for-profit school located in the large city of Saint Louis.

Of the 172 students majoring in law at SLU, 44% are male and 56% are female.
