To create this ranking we looked at how many students graduated from the Law program at each school on the list.

Our 2023 rankings named Harvard University the most popular school in the New England Region for law students working on their doctor’s degree. Harvard is a very large private not-for-profit school located in the medium-sized city of Cambridge.

About 49% of the students majoring in law at the school are women while 51% are male.

Boston, MA

Out of the 16 schools in the New England Region that were part of this year’s ranking, Suffolk University landed the # 2 spot on the list. Suffolk is a medium-sized private not-for-profit school located in the large city of Boston.

Of the 340 students majoring in law at Suffolk, 50% are male and 50% are female.

Out of the 16 schools in the New England Region that were part of this year’s ranking, Yale University landed the # 5 spot on the list. Yale is a fairly large private not-for-profit school located in the medium-sized city of New Haven.

Of the 218 students majoring in law at Yale, 51% are male and 49% are female.

Northeastern University did quite well in this year’s ranking of the most popular places for law students to get a doctor’s degree. It came in at #6 on the list. Located in the large city of Boston, Northeastern is a private not-for-profit school with a very large student population.

Women make up 65% of the law majors at the school.

South Royalton, VT

Vermont Law School ranked #7 on this year’s Most Popular Law Doctor’s Degree Schools in the New England Region list. VLS is a fairly small private not-for-profit school located in the remote area of South Royalton.

Of the 165 students majoring in law at VLS, 50% are male and 50% are female.

With a ranking of #8, New England Law - Boston did quite well on this year’s most popular schools for law students working on their doctor’s degree. Located in the city of Boston, New England Law is a private not-for-profit school with a small student population.

Roger Williams University School of Law did quite well in this year’s ranking of the most popular places for law students to get a doctor’s degree. It came in at #9 on the list.
