Our 2023 rankings named University of Arizona the most popular school in the Southwest Region for public health students working on their master’s degree. Located in the large city of Tucson, University of Arizona is a public school with a very large student population.

About 77% of the students majoring in public health at the school are women while 23% are male.

Out of the 34 schools in the Southwest Region that were part of this year’s ranking, The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston landed the # 2 spot on the list. UTHealth is a medium-sized public school located in the city of Houston.

Of the 178 students majoring in public health at UTHealth, 24% are male and 76% are female.

Phoenix, AZ

Out of the 34 schools in the Southwest Region that were part of this year’s ranking, Grand Canyon University landed the # 3 spot on the list. Located in the large city of Phoenix, Grand Canyon University is a private for-profit school with a fairly large student population.

About 81% of the students majoring in public health at the school are women while 19% are male.

University of North Texas Health Science Center did quite well in this year’s ranking of the most popular places for public health students to get a master’s degree. It came in at #7 on the list. UNT Health Science Center is a small public school located in the large city of Fort Worth.
