To create this ranking we looked at how many students graduated from the Public Health program at each school on the list.

Our analysis found Harvard University to be the most popular school for public health students who want to pursue a master’s degree in the New England Region . Located in the city of Cambridge, Harvard is a private not-for-profit school with a very large student population.

Of the 354 students majoring in public health at Harvard, 37% are male and 63% are female.

You’ll be in good company if you decide to attend Southern New Hampshire University. It ranked #2 on our 2023 Most Popular Public Health Master’s Degree Schools in the New England Region list. SNHU is a fairly large private not-for-profit school located in the medium-sized suburb of Manchester.

Women make up 83% of the public health majors at the school.

Boston, MA

You’ll be in good company if you decide to attend Boston University. It ranked #3 on our 2023 Most Popular Public Health Master’s Degree Schools in the New England Region list. Located in the large city of Boston, Boston U is a private not-for-profit college with a very large student population.

Of the 220 students majoring in public health at Boston U, 17% are male and 83% are female.

Biddeford, ME

Out of the 38 schools in the New England Region that were part of this year’s ranking, University of New England landed the # 4 spot on the list. UNE is a moderately-sized private not-for-profit school located in the suburb of Biddeford.

Women make up 75% of the public health majors at the school.

Hanover, NH

The in-demand master’s degree programs at Dartmouth College helped the school earn the #5 place on this year’s ranking of the most popular public health schools in the New England Region . Located in the remote town of Hanover, Dartmouth is a private not-for-profit college with a medium-sized student population.

Of the 101 students majoring in public health at Dartmouth, 42% are male and 58% are female.

University of Massachusetts Amherst did quite well in this year’s ranking of the most popular places for public health students to get a master’s degree. It came in at #6 on the list. Located in the suburb of Amherst, UMass Amherst is a public college with a very large student population.

Women make up 84% of the public health majors at the school.

Providence, RI

Brown University landed the #7 spot in the 2023 rankings for the most popular master’s degree public health programs. Brown is a fairly large private not-for-profit school located in the midsize city of Providence.

Of the 85 students majoring in public health at Brown, 26% are male and 74% are female.

With a ranking of #8, Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences did quite well on this year’s most popular schools for public health students working on their master’s degree. MCPHS University is a medium-sized private not-for-profit school located in the city of Boston.

Of the 75 students majoring in public health at MCPHS University, 27% are male and 73% are female.
