Our analysis looked at 72 schools in the Great Lakes Region to see which doctor's degree programs were the most popular for students. To create this ranking we looked at how many students graduated from the Nursing program at each school on the list.

Our 2023 rankings named Chamberlain University - Illinois the most popular school in the Great Lakes Region for nursing students working on their doctor’s degree. Chamberlain - Illinois is a very large private for-profit school located in the suburb of Addison.

Of the 565 students majoring in nursing at Chamberlain - Illinois, 7% are male and 93% are female.

You’ll be in good company if you decide to attend Rush University. It ranked #2 on our 2023 Most Popular Nursing Doctor’s Degree Schools in the Great Lakes Region list. Rush University is a small private not-for-profit school located in the city of Chicago.

About 88% of the students majoring in nursing at the school are women while 12% are male.

Purdue University Global came in at #6 in this year’s edition of the Most Popular Nursing Doctor’s Degree Schools in the Great Lakes Region ranking. Purdue University Global is a very large public school located in the small city of Indianapolis.

Of the 59 students majoring in nursing at Purdue University Global, 3% are male and 97% are female.

Ohio State University - Main Campus landed the #7 spot in the 2023 rankings for the most popular doctor’s degree nursing programs. Located in the large city of Columbus, Ohio State is a public school with a very large student population.
