To create this ranking we looked at how many students graduated from the Medicine program at each school on the list.

Our analysis found University of Minnesota - Twin Cities to be the most popular school for medicine students who want to pursue a doctor’s degree in the Plains States Region . UMN Twin Cities is a fairly large public school located in the city of Minneapolis.

About 59% of the students majoring in medicine at the school are women while 41% are male.

Lawrence, KS

Out of the 13 schools in the Plains States Region that were part of this year’s ranking, University of Kansas landed the # 2 spot on the list. KU is a very large public school located in the small city of Lawrence.

About 44% of the students majoring in medicine at the school are women while 56% are male.

Washington University in St Louis came in at #8 in this year’s edition of the Most Popular Medicine Doctor’s Degree Schools in the Plains States Region ranking. WUSTL is a fairly large private not-for-profit school located in the suburb of Saint Louis.
