Out of the 13 schools in the Southwest Region that were part of this year’s ranking, The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston landed the # 2 spot on the list. Located in the large city of Houston, UTHealth is a public college with a moderately-sized student population.

Of the 238 students majoring in medicine at UTHealth, 47% are male and 53% are female.
