To create this ranking we looked at how many students graduated from the Foreign Languages & Linguistics program at each school on the list.

Located in the city of New York, Columbia is a private not-for-profit school with a fairly large student population.

Of the 31 students majoring in foreign languages and linguistics at Columbia, 48% are male and 52% are female.

The in-demand doctor’s degree programs at The Graduate Center, CUNY helped the school earn the #2 place on this year’s ranking of the most popular foreign languages and linguistics schools in New York. The Graduate Center is a medium-sized public school located in the large city of New York.

Of the 27 students majoring in foreign languages and linguistics at The Graduate Center, 56% are male and 44% are female.
