Our analysis found Naval Postgraduate School to be the most popular school for systems engineering students who want to pursue a master’s degree in the United States. Naval Postgraduate School is a small public school located in the suburb of Monterey.

About 19% of the students majoring in systems engineering at the school are women while 81% are male.

Out of the 78 schools in the United States that were part of this year’s ranking, Massachusetts Institute of Technology landed the # 2 spot on the list. MIT is a large private not-for-profit school located in the midsize city of Cambridge.

About 33% of the students majoring in systems engineering at the school are women while 67% are male.

Baltimore, MD

A rank of #3 on this year’s list means Johns Hopkins University is a great place for systems engineering students working on their master’s degree. Johns Hopkins is a fairly large private not-for-profit school located in the city of Baltimore.

Of the 202 students majoring in systems engineering at Johns Hopkins, 74% are male and 26% are female.

You’ll be in good company if you decide to attend Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University - Worldwide. It ranked #4 on our 2023 Most Popular Systems Engineering Master’s Degree Schools list. Located in the small city of Daytona Beach, Embry-Riddle Worldwide is a private not-for-profit college with a fairly large student population.
