This report analyzed 23 schools in the Plains States Region to see which ones were the most popular master's degree programs for students. To create this ranking we looked at how many students graduated from the Engineering program at each school on the list.

The colleges and universities below are the most popular for engineering majors pursuing a master's degree.

Our 2023 rankings named Washington University in St Louis the most popular school in the Plains States Region for engineering students working on their master’s degree. WUSTL is a large private not-for-profit school located in the suburb of Saint Louis.

You’ll be in good company if you decide to attend University of Minnesota - Twin Cities. It ranked #2 on our 2023 Most Popular Engineering Master’s Degree Schools in the Plains States Region list. UMN Twin Cities is a fairly large public school located in the large city of Minneapolis.

Of the 304 students majoring in engineering at UMN Twin Cities, 79% are male and 21% are female.
