Our analysis looked at 41 schools in the Southwest Region to see which master's degree programs were the most popular for students. To create this ranking we looked at how many students graduated from the Engineering program at each school on the list.

The colleges and universities below are the most popular for engineering majors pursuing a master's degree.

Our analysis found Arizona State University - Tempe to be the most popular school for engineering students who want to pursue a master’s degree in the Southwest Region . Located in the midsize city of Tempe, ASU - Tempe is a public college with a very large student population.

About 24% of the students majoring in engineering at the school are women while 76% are male.

You’ll be in good company if you decide to attend Texas A&M University - College Station. It ranked #2 on our 2023 Most Popular Engineering Master’s Degree Schools in the Southwest Region list. Texas A&M College Station is a very large public school located in the city of College Station.

Of the 725 students majoring in engineering at Texas A&M College Station, 78% are male and 22% are female.

Southern Methodist University came in at #8 in this year’s edition of the Most Popular Engineering Master’s Degree Schools in the Southwest Region ranking. Located in the large suburb of Dallas, SMU is a private not-for-profit college with a large student population.

Of the 199 students majoring in engineering at SMU, 69% are male and 31% are female.
