Our 2023 rankings named University of Colorado Boulder the most popular school in the Rocky Mountains Region for engineering students working on their doctor’s degree. CU - Boulder is a very large public school located in the city of Boulder.
Women make up 32% of the engineering majors at the school.
Out of the 14 schools in the Rocky Mountains Region that were part of this year’s ranking, University of Utah landed the # 2 spot on the list. U of U is a fairly large public school located in the city of Salt Lake City.
Of the 81 students majoring in engineering at U of U, 73% are male and 27% are female.
The in-demand doctor’s degree programs at Colorado School of Mines helped the school earn the #3 place on this year’s ranking of the most popular engineering schools in the Rocky Mountains Region . Located in the suburb of Golden, Mines is a public college with a moderately-sized student population.

You’ll be in good company if you decide to attend Colorado State University - Fort Collins.
