Our 2023 rankings named Georgia Institute of Technology - Main Campus the most popular school in the Southeast Region for electrical engineering students working on their doctor’s degree. Located in the city of Atlanta, Georgia Tech is a public school with a very large student population.

Of the 91 students majoring in EE at Georgia Tech, 85% are male and 15% are female.

The in-demand doctor’s degree programs at North Carolina State University helped the school earn the #2 place on this year’s ranking of the most popular electrical engineering schools in the Southeast Region . NC State is a fairly large public school located in the large city of Raleigh.

Blacksburg, VA

You’ll be in good company if you decide to attend Virginia Tech. It ranked #3 on our 2023 Most Popular Electrical Engineering Doctor’s Degree Schools in the Southeast Region list. Located in the city of Blacksburg, Virginia Tech is a public school with a fairly large student population.

About 19% of the students majoring in EE at the school are women while 81% are male.

University of Florida landed the #6 spot in the 2023 rankings for the most popular doctor’s degree electrical engineering programs. UF is a fairly large public school located in the city of Gainesville.

Florida International University did quite well in this year’s ranking of the most popular places for electrical engineering students to get a doctor’s degree. It came in at #7 on the list. Located in the large suburb of Miami, FIU is a public college with a fairly large student population.

University of South Florida - Main Campus ranked #8 on this year’s Most Popular Electrical Engineering Doctor’s Degree Schools in the Southeast Region list. USF Tampa is a very large public school located in the large city of Tampa.

About 37% of the students majoring in EE at the school are women while 63% are male.

University of Virginia - Main Campus did quite well in this year’s ranking of the most popular places for electrical engineering students to get a doctor’s degree. It came in at #9 on the list.
