To create this ranking we looked at how many students graduated from the General Education program at each school on the list.

The following schools top our list of the Most Popular General Education Master's Degree Colleges.

Out of the 40 schools in the Plains States Region that were part of this year’s ranking, Saint Mary’s University of Minnesota landed the # 2 spot on the list. SMU MN is a small private not-for-profit school located in the town of Winona.

You’ll be in good company if you decide to attend Fort Hays State University. It ranked #3 on our 2023 Most Popular General Education Master’s Degree Schools in the Plains States Region list. Located in the town of Hays, FHSU is a public college with a fairly large student population.
