This report analyzed 106 schools in the United States to see which ones were the most popular doctor's degree programs for students. To create this ranking we looked at how many students graduated from the General Education program at each school on the list.

The colleges and universities below are the most popular for education majors pursuing a doctor's degree.

Our analysis found Northcentral University to be the most popular school for general education students who want to pursue a doctor’s degree in the United States. Northcentral University is a large private not-for-profit school located in the city of San Diego.

Of the 361 students majoring in education at Northcentral University, 22% are male and 78% are female.

Fort Lauderdale, FL

Out of the 106 schools in the United States that were part of this year’s ranking, Nova Southeastern University landed the # 3 spot on the list. Located in the suburb of Fort Lauderdale, NUS Florida is a private not-for-profit college with a fairly large student population.

Of the 291 students majoring in education at NUS Florida, 23% are male and 77% are female.

University of Missouri - St Louis landed the #7 spot in the 2023 rankings for the most popular doctor’s degree general education programs. UMSL is a fairly large public school located in the large suburb of Saint Louis.

With a ranking of #9, University of Central Florida did quite well on this year’s most popular schools for general education students working on their doctor’s degree. Located in the suburb of Orlando, UCF is a public college with a fairly large student population.
