Our 2023 rankings named University of Maryland Global Campus the most popular online school in the Middle Atlantic Region for computer and information sciences students working on their graduate certificate. UMGC is a very large public school located in the large suburb of Adelphi.

Of the 173 students majoring in computer and information sciences at UMGC, 65% are male and 35% are female.

Out of the 28 online programs at schools in the Middle Atlantic Region that were part of this year’s ranking, Sans Technology Institute landed the # 2 spot on the list. Located in the large suburb of Bethesda, Sans Technology Institute is a private for-profit school with a fairly small student population.

Women make up 5% of the computer and information sciences majors at the school.

The in-demand online graduate certificate programs at Towson University helped the school earn the #3 place on this year’s ranking of the best computer and information sciences schools in the Middle Atlantic Region . Towson is a fairly large public school located in the city of Towson.

About 52% of the students majoring in computer and information sciences at the school are women while 48% are male.
