The in-demand master’s degree programs at University of Maryland - Baltimore County helped the school earn the #2 place on this year’s ranking of the most popular information science schools in the Middle Atlantic Region . UMBC is a fairly large public school located in the suburb of Baltimore.

Of the 166 students majoring in IS at UMBC, 58% are male and 42% are female.
