To create this ranking we looked at how many students graduated from the Computer Science program at each school on the list.

The colleges and universities below are the most popular for compsci majors pursuing a master's degree.

Our analysis found University of Massachusetts Amherst to be the most popular school for computer science students who want to pursue a master’s degree in Massachusetts. UMass Amherst is a fairly large public school located in the large suburb of Amherst.

Of the 259 students majoring in compsci at UMass Amherst, 75% are male and 25% are female.

Out of the 12 schools in Massachusetts that were part of this year’s ranking, Massachusetts Institute of Technology landed the # 2 spot on the list. Located in the midsize city of Cambridge, MIT is a private not-for-profit college with a fairly large student population.

Women make up 40% of the compsci majors at the school.

Boston, MA

A rank of #3 on this year’s list means Boston University is a great place for computer science students working on their master’s degree. Boston U is a fairly large private not-for-profit school located in the city of Boston.

Of the 188 students majoring in compsci at Boston U, 79% are male and 21% are female.

A rank of #4 on this year’s list means Worcester Polytechnic Institute is a great place for computer science students working on their master’s degree. Located in the city of Worcester, WPI is a private not-for-profit college with a medium-sized student population.
