To create this ranking we looked at how many students graduated from the General Business/Commerce program at each school on the list.

The colleges and universities below are the most popular for general business majors pursuing a doctor's degree.

Our 2023 rankings named University of Maryland Global Campus the most popular school in the United States for general business/commerce students working on their doctor’s degree. UMGC is a fairly large public school located in the suburb of Adelphi.

About 54% of the students majoring in general business at the school are women while 46% are male.

Philadelphia, PA

A rank of #2 on this year’s list means Drexel University is a great place for general business/commerce students working on their doctor’s degree. Drexel is a fairly large private not-for-profit school located in the large city of Philadelphia.

Women make up 52% of the general business majors at the school.

You’ll be in good company if you decide to attend University of North Texas. It ranked #3 on our 2023 Most Popular Business & Commerce Doctor’s Degree Schools list. UNT is a very large public school located in the midsize city of Denton.
