Top 15% Best Accounting Schools
Our analysis found University of Notre Dame to be the best school for accounting students who want to pursue a degree in the Great Lakes Region . Notre Dame is a large private not-for-profit school located in the large suburb of Notre Dame.
You’ll be in good company if you decide to attend University of Michigan - Ann Arbor. It ranked #2 on our 2023 Best Accounting Schools in the Great Lakes Region list. U-M is a very large public school located in the medium-sized city of Ann Arbor.

The excellent programs at Michigan State University helped the school earn the #5 place on this year’s ranking of the best accounting schools in the Great Lakes Region . Located in the city of East Lansing, Michigan State is a public school with a very large student population.
With a ranking of #6, Marquette University did quite well on this year’s best schools for accounting students. Located in the city of Milwaukee, Marquette is a private not-for-profit college with a large student population.
Butler University ranked #7 on this year’s Best Accounting Schools in the Great Lakes Region list. Located in the city of Indianapolis, Butler is a private not-for-profit school with a medium-sized student population.
Calvin University ranked #8 on this year’s Best Accounting Schools in the Great Lakes Region list. Located in the medium-sized city of Grand Rapids, Calvin is a private not-for-profit college with a small student population.
Loyola University Chicago did quite well in this year’s ranking of the best schools for accounting students. It came in at #9 on the list. Loyola Chicago is a large private not-for-profit school located in the city of Chicago.
With a ranking of #10, Walsh College did quite well on this year’s best schools for accounting students. Located in the small city of Troy, Walsh is a private not-for-profit school with a small student population.
Miami University - Oxford landed the #11 spot in the 2023 rankings for the best accounting programs. Miami University - Oxford is a fairly large public school located in the fringe town of Oxford.
