A rank of #2 on this year’s list means University of Southern California is a great place for urban and regional planning students working on their master’s degree. USC is a fairly large private not-for-profit school located in the large city of Los Angeles.

About 56% of the students majoring in urban planning at the school are women while 44% are male.

The in-demand master’s degree programs at San Jose State University helped the school earn the #3 place on this year’s ranking of the most popular urban and regional planning schools in California. Located in the large city of San Jose, San Jose State is a public college with a fairly large student population.
